From The Sky
From The Sky is a rock trio from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2018 by multiinstrumentalist and Bonafide’s main man, Pontus Snibb. With the idea of fronting a band on drums and lead vocals Pontus brought in his brothers in arms Sampo Axelsson and Staffan Österlind whom he’d played with since the 90’s in A Tribute To Led Zeppelin.
From The Sky has very obvious influences and keep rolling that wheel that some other bands invented in England in the late 60’s and 70’s.
From The Sky’s debute album was recorded by Lennart Östlund from Polar Studios who recorded (besides ABBA) Led Zeppelin’s last studio album, “In Through The Outdoor”. In two (!) evenings they laid down the rhythm tracks and did the overdubs the next few days.
The members of From The Sky has previously worked as session and touring musicians, songwriters and producers with artists such as Beck, Paul DiAnno (Iron Maiden), Black Robot (produced by Dave Cobb), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Jason & The Scorches to name a few.
